Today is the last day of my Gushul Residency here in Blairmore, Alberta. Tomorrow, it’s time to leave for Vancouver, where I’ll be staying for around a week.
While in Vancouver, I’ll be doing a reading at Historic Joy Kogawa House, which is where I was previously based as a writer-in-residence. At the reading, I plan to read an excerpt from my novel-in-progress. And because it’s summer time, that means that this literary reading will be bundled up with a potluck BBQ dinner! Here are the details about this event (as drawn from the Historic Joy Kogawa House blog entry), which features past, present and forthcoming writers-in-residence at the house. The line-up showcases a great mix of artists:

Alexandra Bischoff and Meghan Matos will also read.
