Want a preview of my book? Here are some samples for your reading and listening pleasure.
A Sample: ‘Dirty Dancing’ and ‘Suitmation’
This sample (from the ebook version of Look Who’s Morphing) contains the first two pieces from the book: ‘Dirty Dancing’ and ‘Suitmation’. You can read it online right now:
Alternatively, you can download the front and back cover, contents page and ‘Dirty Dancing’ here (PDF file).
Listen to ‘The Sound of Music’
No – not the film or the stage musical or the singalong version of the film or even the tour in Saltzberg. It’s a recording of me reading my story ‘The Sound of Music’. Check out the sound design from Jon Tjhia too.
Listen to ‘AIYO!!! An Evil Group of Ninjas is Entering and Destroying a Call Centre!!!’
It’s a tale as old as time itself: an evil group of ninjas attacks a call centre.
The print version is found in my book, but you can listen to a performance of this piece right here. This piece is in ‘Manglish’ (Malaysian English). The performer is Janette Hoe, who was also my ‘Manglish consultant’ when I wrote and began performing this piece.
Press play on the audio player to begin. The tracks runs for 3 minutes, 10 seconds.
Written by Tom Cho; performed by Janette Hoe; recorded and produced by Archie Cuthbertson for Going Down Swinging, 3RRR Studios, 2004
